It is the end of the summer season for beach yoga. Thank you for your dedication to all things yoga. It is time for the teachers to take a rest after a very busy summer. Our studio will be closed from Monday, September 4 thru Saturday, September 9. We will re-open on Sunday, September 10 @ 10:30 for our donation class. Despite the chilly weather we had a good turnout for beach classes and we are happily donating $200.00 of the profits to The Houston Humane Society. There will be some new things coming your way this fall. Kim Fulton Blair is joining the staff of YogaJoy! Beginning in October she will be offering a Wednesday a.m. class for all level yogis and Barbara will begin a four week Yin Intensive through the month of October. Details to follow. Summer is not yet over folks. Enjoy these beautiful and bright days ahead. "Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair." Khalil Gibran. We live in precarious times and I would like to conclude with a prayer from one of my heroes, Jane Goodall. A prayer for all of the creatures on the earth. "On this day I am praying to the great spiritual power that I feel so strongly in wild places, to give me the strength to play my part, to continue spreading awareness that each of us has a role to play, that each action is important no matter how small it may seem. This is my prayer." This is my prayer too. Much love, Joyce
