Service Description

Reflexology is a focused pressure technique directed at the feet or hands. Its roots can be traced back to 2500 B.C. in Egypt and then to Europe in the 14th century where it was known as Zone Therapy. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body that correspond to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body. When the reflexes are stimulated, the body’s natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. The benefits of reflexology include relaxation, enhanced circulation, assists the body to normalize metabolism naturally and will compliment all other healing modalities. Joyce is a certified reflexologist and a member of the Ontario College of Reflexology, having received her training through Shanti Parakh in Niagara Falls.
